Transport from National Park Park & Ride to
Top of the Bruce Whakapapa Ski Area.
Purpose built and designed, four wheel (4WD) drive buses provides exceptional levels of comfort and safety. The new fleet is comfortable, safe and has less emissions, something crucial in operating this service in a UNESCO Dual World Heritage National Park. The new buses also meet the new Alpine Vehicle Specification and Code of Practice.

On weekends and restricted road days we will have extra shuttle times available.

The service provided by Sand Safaris 2014 Ltd, operators of Ruapehu Mountain Transport, includes the provision of shuttle transfers by passenger-carrying vehicles.
By agreeing to use Sand Safaris 2014 Ltd (and Ruapehu Mountain Transport), you agree to the following terms and conditions which apply to phone bookings, applies to email bookings, applies to website bookings, and applies to third-party bookings. Terms and conditions may be updated without notice on our website.
Alcohol/Smoking/Vaping
The consumption of alcohol is prohibited inside Ruapehu Mountain Transport vehicles at all times.
Smoking/Vaping is not permitted inside Ruapehu Mountain Transport vehicles.
Belongings
Ruapehu Mountain Transport is not responsible for any personal property loss or damage, inside or outside the Ruapehu Mountain Transport vehicles.
Skis and Snowboards are transported at the passenger’s own risk.
Bookings
Bookings are highly recommended to be made before the day of travel.
Tickets can be purchased online via our website.
All bookings are based on availability.
Whakapapa ticket purchase locations
From the bus driver at National Park, Park & Ride in National Park Village or any local Ruapehu I-site via EFTPOS.
Cancellations, refunds and fees
Booking and credit card fees apply.
A 20% cancellation fee applies if you cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to departure.
NO refund applies if you cancel the shuttle within 24 hours of the shuttle departing.

Children
Passengers aged 10 years or under must be accompanied by an adult.
Departure points and times
Services from National Park Village depart from the Park & Ride, 59 Findlay Street.
Please be there at least 10 minutes prior to departure time.
Health
Face masks are encouraged but not enforced.
Mountain closure
Please check the Mt Ruapehu Report prior to shuttle departure.
The shuttle will not run if the mountain is closed.
Please email info@ruapehumountaintransport.co.nz for a full refund or transfer of the travel date, if the mountain is closed.
If the mountain closes after the shuttle transport has occurred, there is no refund.
